Tuesday, March 26, 2013 - Slow leggy garnet red. Scents of blackberries, violets, black pepper, milk chocolate, and paprika. My first Côte-Rôtie seems a bit past prime. Flavors of black fruit preserves, pepper, herbaceous notes of marjoram and parsley, and gamey leather notes on the finish. Nice concentration and length but the fruit is a bit cooked.
