Community Tasting Note

Wednesday, January 1, 2014 - Vigorously decanted: The nose was quite expressive upon opening, ample dark fruit on the nose and palate. For the first couple hours, the tannins were a bit bitter/drying on the finish, but came into check. The nose really blossomed at bout that point, and faded aromatically after about 3 hours. Big, skirting on Aussie Shiraz-like, but manages to walk on the balanced side of the line. I don't know if I would have identified this as zin-based blind.
