Sunday, May 3, 2015 - Fantastic big nose of ripe blackberries and just a hint of pepper and smoke. Palate isn't quite up to the high performing nose but lovely nonetheless. There was almost a cab-like fruit forwardness on opening but balanced out nicely after a couple hours of decanting. The drinking window through 2017 seems to significantly underestimate the life of this wine. One of the top Syrahs I've had in the last year.
