Likes this wine:

Friday, July 26, 2013 - Cork pulled the day prior, returned to bottle and served the next day, double-blind.

I had the same experience as avid_wino - I loved it. And yes, I've had some Shiraz experiences that were more monumental, but that, I think, is because they were completely at peak, and this, my friends, is just beginning its plateau. 19yrs old? You're kidding, right? Still a very youthful dark garnet toward purple, with virtually no age at the rim. Confiture of blueberries, smoke, curing meat, saddle leather, lardons and sweet herbs. Layered, polished and seamless; full-bodied palate that covers all bases. Gains complexity and weight with airtime. Fantastic now, could well approach epic in a 5-8 years. My only nit is the finish, I thought it could have been longer. 14,0% abv, highly recommended, drink thru 2026
