Wortht say that it came after the magnificent 1989 Rousseau Charmes-Chambertin, Papies 98, however it proved a worthy follow up act. Very Burgundian in a way. Very elegant and balanced. The nose we expected to be more secondary, but it was more fruit driven, light spice. On the palate a perfectly balanced beauty, good structure, firm yet silky tannin. Could use a touch more length and maybe a touch more strength but this is a 97 for us. Magical
