90 Points

Saturday, November 18, 2006 - An excellent Alsatian! Had it at Frisson with Gaius and Sabrina— surprised to see a nearly 7 year old gewurtz on the menu, at a reasonable price ($55). My own experience with cellaring these wines is that they collapse after about 5 years. Aroma of spice and pineapple, a surprisingly crisp body but very, very sweet (Gaius approved!). Long honey finish with an interesting bitterness at the end.
