Friday, March 1, 2013 - Went through 4 bottles of this with large group at a steakhouse. Decanted and poured. Very nice dark ruby. Expressive nose with dark berry, vanilla and cigar. Palate seems fairly complex to me at this early stage, with a well balanced attack of great tasting fruit, coffee, and cigar. Slightly drying tannins which seem to mute the fruit a touch and medium finish. This went very well with the steaks and represents a good value at retail. Should be better in a few more years.
