This is a very agreeable Bordeaux, but in no way outstanding. Much more agreeable when drinking the rest of the bottle on Day 2, when I find myself warming to it. Everything is correct, and it tastes of all the things I remember from young-ish Bordeaux, the sweet cigar-box and dark berries, the mouth-coating texture, and the satisfying tannic finish. If it was a little leaner, slightly less sweet, and with some more acidity, maybe I could learn to love it again. vg
