Sunday, July 27, 2014 - Dark garnet, purple. Effervescent nose of evergreen, menthol, dark sour cherries and wet earth. Palate brings more sweet and sour cherries, raspberries, rhubarb, smoky cloves, candied red fruit, cinnamon, and musty blackberries. Tannins are still strong, giving this a chewy, gritty texture that mutes the finish via its sour streak. But otherwise, a nice QPR.
