Tuesday, November 17, 2009 - Color as deep a purple-black as I have ever seen in a glass of wine. Thick like crude oil, sticking to the glass with monstrous legs. Blackberry jam on the nose; coffee, pepper and spice on the palate. Finishes with heat. Should have decanted this one, but only had it open for about 30 minutes, then tasted over 2 hours. Will save 2/3 of the bottle for tomorrow and see what some time does with it.
