We seem to have similar taste in CA Pinot but this is a definitely split (though I didn't drink for the same bottle as you obviously). It would be cool to have a panel of like 10 benchmark wines we could list for people to try to see where their fit in the ripeness spectrum.
3/26/2014 7:37:00 PM - Agreed! This wine was a pretty big miss for me and for the three others who tasted it with me. I noticed that WA rated this vintage of Clio much lower than others, so perhaps a bad vintage?
Definitely interested in the fun of trying similar bottles, and noticing the different reactions. Did you try any of the Bordeaux bottles that Asimov recommended in Get Out Your Corkscrew? We didn't get moving on it this month, but I think we will next month.
