Monday, December 15, 2014 - 2011 DRC Tasting (Paris, France): The color is very similar to La Tache. The nose is slightly more closed than La Tache and exhibits more spice and stems. More red and blue fruit notes along with wet stone. Somehow, ever though the palate was not as forward as the La Tache and didn't display the fireworks of the Richebourg, there was a detail and another layer of complexity that you could feel, not necessarily taste, on your tongue. The finish was slightly shorter than La Tache and displayed slightly more spice. Delicate, yet powerful and waiting to come out of its shell.
