Saturday, April 28, 2012 - A Ten Year Retrospective of Chateau Pontet Canet with Alfred Tesseron (Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Chicago): Opaque inky crimson color. Aromas of black currants and dark fruit; bouquet features violets and a bit of Old World funk. Well-balanced; features black cherry, blackberry, herbs and forest floor on the palate. Medium(-) finish.
