Thursday, October 4, 2012 - The "Open a Bottle That Shouldn't Be Opened" Offline (The Publican - Chicago, IL): Pop and pour. Drank this alongside a couple other 2010 Chardonnays from around the world and it may have had the least personality of any of them. Nose was driven by oak, butter, lemon and pear. It palate seemed blocky with big oak, pear and apple tones. It was smokey too and didn't have a ton of minerality. Not my style of chardonnay which disappointed me as I've had good experiences with the Rivers-Marie chard in the past.
