Tuesday, January 20, 2015 - I opened, but did not decant and let it breathe for over an hour. Janet had the last glass and found it had a lot of sediment, so I would recommend decanting it. It was a beautiful dark inky purple and the bouquet was dark blackberry and blueberry. I love the way a good Petite Sirah balances the acid and tannin to create a nice velvety experience. It was near full bodied and mid palate was a little chocolate, oak and pepper with a little earth. The finish was long and the tannins were still lightly gripping at the end. This was an excellent Petite Sirah and I wish I had another bottle.
