Friday, March 29, 2013 - I am changing my score as the bottle has been opened for 24 hours and needed it. I'm unsure if this will become a great wine, as it's lost some fruit but also has mellowed since yesterday, losing some of those harsh tannins and heat on the finish. The nose which was quite fine, with blackberry, dark cherry- and the palate, while initially delicious, are more marked now by soil tones and a perfumed lavender/lilac element. A very, very, good wine, perhaps not quite in the class of the really great '10s, of which there are many, but maybe...
