Wednesday, September 25, 2013 - 30th Birthday Party: I tasted this blind, and was impressed it was a village wine. Go Fourrier. Intense, shifting, evolving nose of bright red fruit, green olives, tobacco and dried flowers. Silky, but firm tannins, with bright and brisk acid. The red fruit is bright but sappy, and backed up by notes of loam and mushroom. Beautiful stuff that got better and better over the course of the evening.
