Wednesday, April 17, 2013 - France 2013 – Northern Rhone; 4/17/2013-4/19/2013 (Ampuis): Tasted at the Domaine. Very pure and classic Cornas nose with violets and dark berry fruits. Powdery tannins yet firm tannins with more ripeness than the 2011s with darker fruit (blackberries). Fleshy yet very well structured with great acidity. A touch of warmth on the finish but overall this is very well balanced. Will need a decade at least. (92-94 potential). Excellent. 91+
