Monday, August 11, 2014 - A good wine that shows exceptional value for money and a true taste of Bordeaux. Ripe and clean fruit, quite tannic, albeit fine grained. Curranty and plummy with a leathery aspect which brings complexity. Lean mouthfeel - it has the proportion of Bordeaux. While not in the class of the Bordeaux royalty drunk the night before, nor was this wine in any way embarrassed. Drinks well now but I think the tannins will soften over the next 3 - 5 years. I would drink this by 2019...
