Thursday, September 12, 2013 - Drouhin Laroze, M. Ilan, old Sauternes & Ports (JV's): Light ruby in color. The nose is nice and complex. Cherries, some dry earth. On the palate, this is layered tightly but evolves in the glass. Cherries and some funk. Someone said feminine, but it was to me, just not as exuberant. I think this is headed somewhere nice, but quite good today.

9/12/2013 7:49:00 AM - I think this is Grand Cru quality but not in the area of the Clos des Beze. I would also wait 5 years minimum, probably 10, if I only had one bottle.
