Saturday, February 11, 2012 - Frederic Esmonin-Some Early Arriving 2010s (Dig Wines, San Francisco): A little less saturated than the Estournelles. Reduced nose with some menthol. Lighter in the mouth but really fine licorice/anise and black fruit that is equally expansive and long as in the prior wine. Wonderful mouth feel, good acidity, smoothly ripe tannins and a touch of wood. Both the Premier Cru and Grand Cru tried today are probably more promising and refined than anything I've had in the past from Esmonin. Well done!
