Tuesday, August 26, 2014 - A classic from one of the great vineyards in Napa. Very dark purple. Reserved nose of dark fruit, cassis, bbq meat and a hint of plum and some floral notes. On the palate this is very dense and tightly woven, very precise. Tannins are soft but there are lots of it. Good balance, not heavy, really well done. Can add a point or two if complexity further increases with a age. If you are used to drinking youngish Bordeaux, no problem to drink this now, otherwise wait 3-4 more years for the Cabernet to further soften with age. Decant it for 2h at the moment. Very impressive CabSav.
