92 Points

Wednesday, February 22, 2012 - Wow! Florals and spice on a very aromatic nose, made more so out of a Burgundy glass. Some noticeable strawberry on a rich and creamy palate. With air, some of the lushness seems to fade, with more acidity on the palate and some light tannins on the finish. Some will find this an improvement from the pop. I preferred the pure hedonism on the "pop" but welcomed the structure as an indication for some aging potential. But, wait another 20 minutes, and it's back to creamy. Morphs back and forth. Weighty enough to open now....no need to wait until summer. In fact, this might not appeal to some for summer drinking, as it is neither light nor carefree. 92 points in the context of a rose.
