Friday, September 14, 2012 - Interesting wine. First glass was a PnP, bright fresh red fruit with a strong tannic finish. After an hour decant, started to evolve into a darker, earthier wine with a little funkier fruit. The tannic edge seemed alleviated when served with a sharp cheese. However, needs some cellar time to integrate the overwhelming tannic finish. Grenache dominated wine. Ironically, grenache is what introduced me to Rhone wines, but, I prefer a more syrah heavy blend.
