Tuesday, April 16, 2013 - This wine gave a very good showing, falling just short of leaving an excellent impression. On both the bouquet and palate there was just enough uneven qualities to keep this wine from giving a more impressive showing. The aromatics show dark fruit with earth, spice and stone notes that has underlying rustic quality. The medium bodied palate also give a sense of polished rusticity. Perhaps a few years of additional bottle age will round out some of the uneven qualities.
