Friday, October 10, 2014 - At Auberge Napa with friends, really special evening. First red, recommended by the somm Elizabeth. Single Vineyard Pinot from Sta. Rita Hills, small rpoiduction (I undersand Hall owns the label now). perfumed, herbs, red fruit, baking spice. Smooth Burgundy-like mouthfeel, restrained, fruit forward but still elegant. Drinks well now but should cellar for a while - not sure it improves much

Really nice Pinot from Califnia - example of how it doesn't need to be overdone even with the CA fruit...
