Saturday, December 6, 2014 - Right out of the bottle, i was nervous. Deep golden color and strong oak smell, almost corked. After 30 minutes this subdued and left a powerful chardonnay still fun of oak and ripe fruit, powered by full bodied aromas and long mouthfeel. I would say it peaked about a year ago, but was still worth holding on to experience with a little more bottle age. Drank with slow roasted halibut, Kung Fu Girl Riesling reduction, roasted carrots, snow peas, melted leeks and a side of capellini. Nice Sat dinner with sturdy SRH chardonnay. Glad to have had 6 bottles of this Two Sisters wine over the last 4 years.
