Wednesday, February 26, 2014 - Pale straw color, green/gold highlights, going to clear at the edge; starbright appearance with no visible sediment, light viscosity. Nose of grapefruit, green melon. On the palate: stone fruit, pear, grapefruit. Decent acid and lovely slate minerality, medium mouthfeel (which is more than I expected from the visual impression). A relatively simple but attractive package, screaming for food (went beautifully with a roast chicken with mustard/tarragon glaze, but I think it could work with a pretty wide range of flavors). Good purity, clean expression of the style, even if not terribly complex. Solid Tuesday night offering.
