Sunday, December 11, 2011 - Sampled 12/10/11. The wax capsule was in tact and hard but the cork was very easily depressed. Fortunately the wine was in tact and its interesting red/amber color was exactly as expected. The wine was soft and elegant but a tad simple. The wine is not a dense tempranillo / granache blend, it is almost thin but still lively fruit, leather, minerals and acidity. It gets an extra point for its ageworthiness, but it is a wine I won't seek out at auction.
