88 Points

Sunday, July 26, 2015 - First bottle from two cases recently acquired. Quite a pronounced yellow gold colour. Nose is sweaty oak and warm lemon verbena leaves. Palate is good acidity and a ton of minerality, slightly burnt lemon skins (the oak having its effect) and a temple smoke element on the back end that carries the slightest trace of trending oxidisation. Rather oaky and alcoholic for my taste...... echoes of Pahlmeyer Chardonnay in style. Not for keeping, in my view.

7/26/2015 6:31:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. We rated slightly higher (90), but we are definitely "oak-suckers", which is essential to enjoy this wine. Having said that, we tend to agree sipping much further than next year would result in unhappy results.
