Monday, December 3, 2012 - WSET Level 2 Class 7 (BCIT Downtown Campus, Vancouver, BC): Tasted blind. Clear, medium+ ruby purple. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, aromas of brambles, black cherry, cola, vanilla/oak, slight herbal/savoury hint. Palate is dry, medium acid, medium- tannin, medium+ body, with flavours of sweet, creamy blackberries, raisins, spice, vanilla. Finish is medium. Good quality Zinfandel, if a bit generic.
