Thursday, November 1, 2012 - A blast of sulfur at first on the nose, followed by a generous amount of crushed rocks, lavender, fresh lemons, and sour red apples. On the palate, lost of tart green apples, lemon juice, minerals, orange peel, and more lavender. Medium+ length finish ending on notes of red apple, lemons and crushed rocks. This improved considerably with air especially on the nose. Shows a fair bit of acidity but is quite flat and lacking in depth and power on the palate. While not bad, definitely not up to the standard of top vintages. Good.
