91 Points

Tuesday, May 21, 2013 - Popped and poured at around 50 degrees. Beautiful golden hue that reminds me of the locks of a certain Danish beauty I know. Distinct aromas of a co-habitaion of tropical fruits along the lines of asian pear, star fruit, and even green papaya. Not as mineral driven as recent vintages but plenty of geological matter to impress even the most ardent doctor of rocks. Many have decreed this wine to be more Oliver Hardy than Stan Laurel, but I find it to be a nice combination of the two. Enough weight to provide a nice mouthfeel combined with a lean, acidic cut. Terrific wine for $21. 91 pts.
