Friday, August 30, 2013 - Nose: Lemons, cedar, strong salinity, hint of almond paste and a hint of pineapple. Overall extremely dense, rich, and primary. Palate: Lemons/hard lemon candy, wood spice, touch of butter and some almond paste on the attack. Big acidity, slightly puckering, on the mid-palate. Hard lemon candy, sea breeze linger on the finish.

Overall, a very big chardonnay with tons of acidity, minerality, plenty of fruit, and good balance at this early stage. Next one won't be opened for at least a few years, at which point the (thick) baby fat should be coming off.
