Wednesday, May 16, 2012 - Yep, we adore Elisabetta Foradori's Teroldego, and the '09 is another excellent version. It has a rich smell of cool violets and blueberries, black cherries, pen ink, graphite, liquorice, tobacco and red apples, with just a little hint of good manure in the far background. Tastewise it's fresh, dense, and smooth at the same time. Certainly an abundance of ripe inky extract but not that sweet, nor heavy or the least alcoholic on the finish. It will bring lots of pleasure right away, or with a few years of age.
