Friday, March 20, 2015 - Popped and poured. Dark garnet, medium+ body. Shutdown at first, but smooth and balanced. Backwards.

Starts picking up steam and becoming enjoyable even 15 minutes in.

2 hours later, things are really falling into place:

Graphite, faint cedar, compost, and loamy cassis nose. Some floral notes, and whisps of green menthol on the nose. Very autumnal forest floor.

Silky palate entry with cassis, blackberry, blueberry, burly loam; hints of vanilla, cacao, charcoal and violets. Medium tannins, and bright acids. Sweet tobacco, evergreen cedar, light menthol, and lingering cassis/blackberry thru the midpalate and finish. Sexy oak treatment for sure. Comes across very bright and fresh, even crisp. Structured more by acidity than tannin. Superb balance. Doesn't overreach. Young, and classy.
