Monday, February 16, 2015 - This definitely needs a long slow ox to show its potential. After being open 18 hours, there was a nice bouquet of roses, bacon fat, bramble, and blackberry fruit. Rich on the palate with tastes of smoked meat , iron, and succulent dark fruit. These Vacqueyras wines in good vintages like these are a steal at under $40. Nicely integrated tannins even at this young age. I would expect greater complexity in the next few years.
