Tuesday, June 3, 2014 - Mourgues du Gres makes our favorite roses. Certainly not austere, as seems to be the fashion with some roses(basically rendering them cheap white wine colored pink). These clearly have a good fruitiness to them, typical red berry flavors (straw, rasp, etc.) that we expect from a rose, balanced with nice acid. Terrific summer sipping that also pairs well with a summer meal. This one drank well in summer 2014, but I would not have kept it for another year.
