Saturday, November 17, 2012 - Dark ruby core that fades to a lighter ruby corona then to a water rim. Day bright reflections and medium viscosity to this medium-plus concentrated wine.
After allowing to breathe aromas present raspberry, cherry, briar aromas of rose, pink peppercorn, and pleasant hints of damp earth, devils chocolate cake and eucalyptus.
The palate is striking, elegant and complex. Perfect acidity levels compliment the weight, tannins, alcohol, and flavors. Excellently structured with a satin like texture.
Flavors of cherry and raspberry sing through from entry to finish. Rose, pink peppercorn and dehydrated strawberry flavors are accented by light wood. the finish is moderate accentuating the ripe red fruit.

One of the most unique and elegant Zins I have tasted.
