Sunday, January 19, 2014 - Medium purple in color, this wine revealed exotic spices, jammy black cherry, ripe plum and loamy aromas on the nose. The mouth feel was surprisingly only medium bodied and brought briery elements in addition to the somewhat sweet fruits and glycerin. The finish was medium and the low acidity, combined with the abundant, sweet fruits, made this wine an overall nice one.

At $14US, this was a good value. I notched my score down a few points as the wine came across as a little thin. It was not the bold style I expect from zins, especially those from Dry Creek Valley.
