Saturday, August 2, 2014 - Dark purple garnet and heavy in the glass. Nose of black fruit, raspberry, BBQ, pepper, tobacco, coffee and cocoa. Full body with dark, brambly dark fruit and pepper on the palate. Supporting complexity with secondary notes of beef blood, pine nuts, BBQ, mushroom and developed plum. Pleasing tannic structure. Long finish. Much less monolithic than other Sans Liege reds and showing integration in its youth.
