Saturday, April 12, 2014 - Big Bordeaux VII: Featuring 1986 & 1989 Super Seconds (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Very dark red-purple color. 2hr decant, 2.5oz pour over 3+ hours. Another absolute wow wine. Gorgeous nose, with perfume, leather, violets, lovely red fruits, plum, crème de cassis. The palate is concentrated, layered, full bodied, lovely graphite, great fruit, black and blue with cassis, blueberry, plum and blackberries, with a hint of sweetness to the ripe fruit. This is just so pretty and elegant now, balanced, mature, and there's a 45-60 second finish. This still has some good life too. Nice! My #2 and group #3 WOTN.
