Friday, August 1, 2014 - What a tremendous nose on this wine! Huge floral aromas framing classic Pauillac fresh-sawed cedar and pencil lead, along with a faintly greenish note. The palate came across as a bit simple by comparison, with ample rich fruit and integrated tannins, but a pretty abrupt finish. But hell, I would have been happy as a clam just huffing my glass all night. I've never smelled a BDX so flamboyantly floral.
