Saturday, August 8, 2015 - Wow, sensational bdx in it's prime. Needed an hour to wake up, but then had a fantastic nose of forest floor, mint, cedar, and smoke/flint. Palate was sharply defined and vibrant, with a solid core of balck currants despite the other mature fruit flavors. Minimal bricking. Seemed to have a lot more structure than a recent '88, but is drinking perfectly now, and shouldn't fade anytime soon. Really long finish of great complexity. Has everything one could want from a mature Bdx. I was concerned after the cork fell in this bottle trying to open but it turned out great.
