Friday, March 19, 2004 - The wine was purple-red with little thinning at the edge. It looked very young. The nose was outstanding with some tobacco and leather and beautiful ripe fruit. The body is medium to full, and everything is balanced perfectly. The finish is fine with sweet and melting tannins. Second only to the '89 Montrose in my preferences. (SF Offline at Chapeau!).
