Tuesday, October 18, 2016 - No change to our previous notes. We just think a very nice way to spend a few hours ;-) "Oooweebaby, this "super-second" is really hitting its stride. We stood upright the bottle 8 ours in advance and opened it 4+ hours before sipping the initial glass. Purplish-red with just a hint of brown on the rim. Aromas of dark red fruit, leather and chocolate. Elegant and silky palate of ripe cherries. The palate is elegant and silky with pleasant tannins. Excellent balance. Long finish. We still see a few more years in this wine, which pleases us to no end given the more than a few bottles in our cellar."
