Saturday, December 25, 2004 - [Garlic pizza, meatballs] Decanted for ~1 hr. Mild red fruit and anise on the nose. On the palate, burnt orange, clove, cherry burst, tannins. As expected less fruit than the '97 Rio Sordo; found the '97 more distinctive. Cleaner (and IMO preferable) compared to the '96 Asili that I had last night.
