Saturday, January 23, 2016 - Dark purple color. First a little reticent, opening up in the glass with some air. Amazing notes of dark cherries, cassis/black currant, some flowers, toast, spices, some graphite and some tobacco. On the palate similar flavors of dark fruit, tobacco, some spiciness and cigar. It's medium-full bodied and dense, feels quite rich, but has an amazing balance of medium-high tannin (that is sweet and silky) and medium+ acidity providing nice freshness. Long and complex finish. A super pretty and complete Napa Cabernet that boxes way above its weight class... in today's market of Napa Cab, this is a fantastic value.
