Saturday, November 21, 2015 - First sip offers the characteristic sweet strawberries, sour cherries, rosehip, leather, gravel road and roses. Pretty classic nose. Great depth. Solid structure on the palate, young but juicy tannins who quickly let go in the aftertaste. A lovely note of rosehip dominates the palate. After 4 hours the wine is less sweet on the nose and is more driven by leather, rosehip and moist undergrowth. Nice development with air and with a couple of more years I think the Acclivi will outmatch the Monvigliero which I find to be far to jammy and sweet at the moment.
