Friday, July 24, 2015 - Nice color, with some purple around the edges. Almost Zin-like. Gorgeous nose. Walla Walla meets Bordeaux. The cedar is a bit more prominent than the fruit and other aromas, but that should resolve with a bit more bottle age.

Nice fruit. The Merlot shines through, while the Cabernet provides some nice structure. Tannins are not as tight as you'd expect from a wine this young.

I opened this now because I had a nice medium-rare flank steak with chimichurri sauce and thought it would hold up. It did. This will mellow beautifully with age if you want to drink it with something more subtle.

A fantastic wine with tons of potential!
